so I am standing by the drivers rear door tightening the rear shock mount ....i then heard a faint tick tick sound coming from the rear seat..anyway i went back to trying to put the shock in the trailing arm:(.....tonight when i tried locking the door....nothing... i tried starting the car....nothing......:mad:after such a long day i was beat.........any inputs

Maybe poor flow from the battery... Clean the battery connections?

so the battery was dead(just 10 mths old)...hope something is not draining it( haven't drove it in several weeks)that ticking sound still puzzles me:dunno:

Find someone with a clamp ammeter or buy one and you can test for draws. A few weeks of sitting with a weak battery can drain it.

If you are getting absoluitly no power at all... As in dead, you may have melted the fusable link. Check bmwe34.net you will find photos there that will show you exactly were the link is located for your car.
