I am picking up an e39 this week and it needs to have the power steering return hose replaced (I figure I should just do both hoses and the reservoir also). I also need to fix the oil filter housing gasket. I am not too mechanically inclined, but I really want to do the work as a DIY. I've installed a sound system before, changed my own oil and I know how to use a basic tool set so I don't think it should be too hard.
I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the task, maybe borrow some tools and a bentley manual. I would be more than appreciative and treat you to some good breakfast and lunch. Let me know if anyone's interested. I'm located in New Hyde Park and I can travel to whereever to work on the car or if you can bring some tools over to my place, we can do the owrk in my driveway.
