My wifes beast has a vibe between 80 and 100km/h that shakes the whole car and can be felt in the steering.

Took it to the shop for a balance and alignment thinking it might have lost a weight or something.

They pointed out that the front snow tires - which are newish, are shot - bad ridges (cupping?) every 5cm or so where the tread is lifted up across the whole surface and around the tire.
They figure new front tie rod ends, new front struts and new front tires will fix it.

Does that sound correct?

What else could it be?

Can anyone recommend a good parts place?

How about a repair shop in the Winnipeg, Manitoba area?

Honey I got a vibration........:dunno:

Thrust arms.
The wear could be due to poor alignment.

i had the same problem with mines, I had the tire balance and rotated same problem. I finally replace the 2 front tires and the problem went away. Try that and see what happen
