I got my 335 coupe last month and my boss loves it so much that he wants to trade in his Solara convertible for the 335 convertible. Ive looked at the Confidential wholesale price, along with "what others are paying" at edmunds. Do you guys think that $1000 over invoice is still a fair offer?
I got a decent deal on my car at $1000 over invoice, but the dealer said there is no way they will do it on the convertible.

He wants Premium, sport, navigation, heated seats, ipod, satellite, comfort access, and steptronic. I get the invoice price at $55,515. Allthey offered to do was not charge for the premium package, which didnt really help.

thanks in advance

I got $1200 over invoice on my coupe, I know I could have gotten him down more had i decided i wanted to spend a couple hours down there, but I wanted to save myself all that trouble.

I'm not too sure on the verts, I heard someone say that the verts go for a bit more over invoice than the coupes.

I think convertibles are still pretty pricey and if he could get one for 1000 over invoice he would be doing very well. I did ED and paid 1500 over dealer cost so to me it was a great deal and I would do it again.

I'll bet that the only way you will get $1K over true invoice on a 335 vert is to do an ED. Maybe close to that on a 328 vert without ED but that might also be tough unless there is a leftover 08 in a very strange color combo that almost no one wants. Contact one of the board sponsors, personally I recommend Adrian, he will fix your friend up with a nice ED deal on a 335 vert. Take it from me, it is a heck of a trip, one you will never forget. There is nothing like driving your BMW, top down, on the Alpenstrasse or better yet on a nice stretch of autobahn at twice the legal US speed limit.

Anything is possible... $1000 over is fair. But you have a better chance of getting an equally fair price if you just ask the dealer for the COSTCO price.

Here is the link: http://www.costcoauto.com/enterzipcode.aspx?gotourl=%2fdefault.aspx

One tip: to get a response from a specific dealer, insert the dealers Zip code. Try multiple dealers. Good luck!

I did an ED on my 07 but I traded it for an 09. It's a long story.

$1K over invoice on a 35-Cab is tough especially there's probably very few left in FL. My dealer has had none on the lot for over 6-weeks now.

Your boss would have to order a 09.

More typical is $12-$1500 over invoice.

Just to clarify, he is planning on ordering an 09. Hes a member of Costco also so that could work too.
