Hi guys i'm new to the site, looks good. Just looking for some advice on buying a 1992 520 E34.
Are there specific things that i need to look out for..
The car looks tidy. its going for 1000 euro which is relatively cheap over here. There's 120k miles on the clock.

i'm use to dealing more with the 3 series so the the whole concept of the 5 series is new..
any advice would be grateful.

you cna get them that cheap over here.

You guys over there have a whole difernt taxation system, apparently slower city roads which explains cars like the 520 and 518, we never got anything like that here since BMW was a 'luxury sporting car'.

Luckily other than missing .5 liters displacement it is still an m50, so everything you read still mostly applies, except single tip muffler, correct?.. you are also missing and not wired for most of the fun electronic gizmos like check control cluster display and possibly obc, and no prewire for changer, alarm, or the (now useless) telephone.

If it is mantained that is not too high. I have 196k and I've seen many with over 270K (we are talking miles right?).

yea talking miles... however i've come up trumps with a fantastic car.......
A 1996 525I E34. there is only 76,000 miles, full service history, car is in mint condition and for the grand total of ***8364;1300 euro.... man a steal.. owned by a little old man who has retired and bought himself a new 7 series... so i'm a happy camper... pictures will follow
