Started removing stuff from the old motor and getting ready to drop the new motor on Monday. What do you guys do to remove the hood? Take out insulation to get at the nozzles and wiring?
Also when I was under the car, noticed reddish fluid between engine and tranny. Is there a seal in the front os the auto tranny that I can replace?
Thanks for your time.

There is a wiring connector under each nozzle. Disconnect the stainless steel washer hose clamp at the wye.

Thanks yaofeng, just thought there was a different way than taking off the hood insulation. Tomorrow is the day I remove the motor. :D

I had the same problem. ATM fluid was leaking all over left side of the car. Tightened a few things and was good to go. But as for the hood, I'm about to do the same thing. My buddy's uncle decided it would be totally okay to be high as hell and hit the hood of my 530i about 10 times with a mallet... So, I'm getting a new hood and will have to take off the old one as well... quite unfortunate.
