View Full Version : seat heater question

When I turn on my driver seat heater the light comes on for a few seconds and then shuts itself off. And the seat never becomes warm. I've heard there is something under the seat that could be responsible for this. Is this true?

Try to find relay for the seat heater, in the box fusses or under rear seat. When you turn on seat heater you will hear a "click sound" from relay. Try to replace realy.

I looked in the fuse box under the hood and beneath the rear seat but couldn't find anything. In the bentleys manual there is a very small mention of 'a left and a right seat heater switch' in a wiring diagram (page 18-EWD). It says it is coming from the the front power distribution box which sounds like the fuse box under the hood. But I am unfortunately more confused by this diagram than anything else.
