Hi,
I need to know what sort of brakes I've got on my 320 is, Vented or not? I'm confused.
What are the best value for money brakes to get? PS I understand that I don't want to skimp on these, but I don't race I might speed occasionally, but generally no more than 90 and occasionally do country roads such as snake pass. I'm from the UK
thanks
Phil

fronts would be vented and your rears wont be. If you want a good setup that is cheap get some brembo rotors with Mintex pads.

Can u not look through the wheels and check!!!!
EBC are always a great bet mate- with greenstuff pads- very effective, highly rated by most people and easy to get hold, greenstuff produce less dust as well which is always a bonus :)
Or just stick with the OEM set up which is great.....

thanks, I was looking at the green stuffs. I think I'll grab them, I don't think they where too expensive. It was mainly them that drew the question about vented and solid, I read on one description that they would not fit on none vented brakes.
I can't just look thruough the wheel as mine are a pretty solid mass.

Personally mate id still check the discs urself before ordering parts and never go on what a website tells u as BM tended to change things around mid way thro the year and make small adjustments- Website part finders are only ever a rough guide so whip the wheel of and check urs are the vented front, solid rears
And greenstuff is fine for solids - iv never read that it isnt anywhere.. They even sell solid disc and greenstuff combos direct..They sold me solid rears and greenstuffs straight from the factory.. :)
Oh and search around for the right price as they vary massively site to site :)

So is it worth upgrading from Green to red if the price ain't that much dif?
Looks like I'm taking the wheels off at the week end :(

In my opinion no mate but its ur call- going by ur desc of how u drive I wouldnt say there suitable or worth it unless ur planning on tracking it etc..reds are for cars pumping out over 200bhp and are alot harder and more aggressive- for a decent powerful pad with no compromise id stick with the greens as they are a great all round pad- work well straight from cold and still really powerful with less dust etc...
