Exterior Handle trim

I dunno if im being thick or wot (tell me if i am lol) im having the biggest trouble putting on a exterior handle trim on, iv tried taking the handle off and then putting it on but with no joy. Any got any tips on how to get it put back on? my bms looking nasty without a handle trim..:cry: cheers guys

ah! what a pain in the ass huh? My driver side rubber backing behind the trim look like hell...ah, wish there was an easier way, ah well, their not that noticeable i guess...
