1991 M5 mods.....

Just picked up a used 1991 E34 M5 and was thinking about some performance modifications.

Would love to know about others experiences with Suspension (thinking of going Dinan),
Brakes (thinking of a Brembo kit) and Tires (I've had great luck with Yoko AVS on my other Bimmers)

Any ideas?

Please don't start with the "go to drivers school and learn to drive crap"......already have 10 years of SCCA under my belt and attend various "go fast" schools every other year.

dinan makes a nice streetable suspension kit, i believe camber plates are no longer listed for the e34, but if you can find them, makes a big difference on the track.

brakes, sure brembo is a nice kit, or you can upgrade to the factory big brake system as on the late euro 3.8's with 345/328 rotors and 4 piston front calipers, or use 840ci brakes which also use brembo 4 piston calipers and larger rotors than the oe 3.6 m5. All pretty well documented if you run a search on m5board.com. there's another kit out there that uses corvette calipers and bmw 8 series rotors.

very little activity here for these cars.

does yokohama still make the avs? Im running michellin pilot sport 2's, i've liked them for the street, and as good as any street tire for the track.
