1989 535i headlight adjustment help

I can't seem to find the adjustment screws for my low beams. The lights broadcast beams only about eight feet out. The light beams don't disappear into the darkness but instead have a sharp line across the top like the beam is partially cut off. Please help :cry:

if they are e codes, aka smileys, they are supposed to have that sharp cutoff.

you need a slender shank screwdriver, and there are holes in the grill to put it in for vertical alignment.

if the are dull, try changing the bulbs. halogens don;t jsut quit when the get old, they also get dimmer as the filament residue is transferred to the bulb glass.
