BMW Plants in the world. But didn't know that BMW was cooperating with DaimlerChrysler !

the tranny makes wierd noises and when i shift into gear there is like a THUINK noise from the rear center of the car.. wierd but oh well.....

I was told that Chrysler had shut it down though... What kind of cooperation do they have in place? Are they building engines for BMW? Did BMW buy that plant?

Apparently they're making good stuff down there. VW & Audi also have a plant in Curitiba and Golf's & A3's built in Brazil are very well built. I read somewhere that Germany was very pleased with the results... GL & GLS models sold in the US are all made in Brazil now...

I think I've found some info on BMW & Daimler joint venture in Curitiba. They're producing engines for Mini and Chrysler Neon
