it's going to be a bitch to fix and there will still most likely be a crease in the hood, (never put shelves above your car in the garage...),

that being said, should I deal with it? buy a new hood? what do you recommend? if I get the dent pulled and there's still a crease, if I just repaint it (thinking about doing anyway) will that fix it?

As with any car, hoods are a pain and often do not come out right. If at all possible, get one from a junkyard and paint it to match. below is a link to an aftermarket hood foe 100 bucks. I have no idea what the shipping would be, could be as match as the hood. $$$$$$$ :dunno:

When I can find a good quality camera, I'll take a picture of it, I don't think it's bad enough to need a complete replacement, but I'll see what y'all think aswell.

it's right by the slope on the drivers side, it's on the high part of the hood, and doesn't dent the bend from the high to the ramp, maybe a good pdr guy can get it out?
