My Vehicle is a 98 M3.

Recently at Cold Start it Idles very erratically and often dies. Revs drives fine when throttle is applied and RPMs above 1.5-2K. Had a couple of Knock's if I let the engine struggle at idle while having cold engine. However once engine has reached operating temperature it will maintain stable Idle. My Dash Display also states that the Temperature is 15-40 degrees warmer than the actual outside temperature.

I keep checking/clearing my CEL and I keep getting the same code. P0111 - Intake Air Temperature Code, as well as P1188/1189 and various cylinder misfires. The details from the OBDII Scanner for last two P0111 CEL cases are as follows...

Fuel System 1+2
OPEN LOOP (Both Cases)
Calculated Load
1 - 11.3%
2 - 17.6%
Engine Coolant
1 - 181F
2 - 194F
STFT Bank 1+2
0.0% (Both)
LTFT Bank 1+2
0.0% (Both)
Engine RPM
1 - 1409
2 - 679
Vehicle speed - 0MPH (Both)

Anyone else out there have similar problems? What was your experience like and what did you do to fix it?

I 've also done basic maintenance a few months ago i.e. SEAFOAM, replacing o2 Sensor, spark plugs, belts, idler pulley, water pump, intake manifold gasket.

I'd say it's the intake air temp sensor...

Right, but where is that one located at? I have a Bently manual and it doesnt state where its located. Is there any way I can possibly recalibrate it vs. replacing it?
