Hi,
For financial reasons I'm looking for someone to take over my lease. I have a 2003 325i with sport package, premium package, and Xenons. It's Topaz Blue with Natural Brown interior. I have 31 payments of $501 remaining on a 39 month lease. My lease allows 15k per year and I have 13000 miles on the car. I checked with BMW Financial and they will allow the lease to be transferred. All that is required is a credit check and a $450 transfer fee. If anyone is interested please let me know.

Thanks

Go to www.swapalease.com and register there. Your exposure to a potential "buyer" will be much higher if you list it there.

According to BMW, my name will be removed from the lease and I will not be responsible for the car after the transfer.

gah, i nuked my own post some how trying to change an emoticon
I'd get them to put it in writing, cuz i've heard other people try to swap their lease running into the issue of financial liability continuing after the swap

I have a friend in SoCal who dumped his 330Cic using Swapalease recently. He confirmed the fact that BMW Financial Services has dropped their liability restrictions from their lease policies, meaning you are no longer liable as the original lessee of the lease once a transfer has taken place.

Back in 96 I got out of a lease on my then 9 month old 1995 Corvette . . .

What I did was advertise it at a low monthly payment and gave the left over months in the ad . . .

For example, I put in the ad to take over the lease for $499 a month with 15 months left in the lease

At the time it was about $150 to $200 a month cheaper then a brand new one would cost and I gave the person who took it the difference in the cost plus I let them keep the security . . . I think it cost me about $2000 plus security out of my pocket at the time . . .

I was happy I got out of my lease and he was happy that he got a great deal on a Corvette for 15 months !!

hmmm, you might need to subsidize the lease to get it to move, you can lease a brand new 325i for 36months 15K miles a year for $523 a month, 22 bucks a month more (thats based purely on the bmwusa calculator, negotiating will probably land you with a much better deal)

Gianni325i, have you had any calls on your car since you listed it on SwapALease? Do you recommend using their service? I too am wanting to get out of my lease and thinking about going with their $49 option.

Anyone else out there used SwapALease (http://swapalease.com)? Would you recommend using them?

 or :thumbdwn:

Thanks!!

Still too early for me to recommend their service. I've had 25 hits on my ad but no calls or offers yet. Hopefully soon!
