As long as they were upfront about it there shouldn't be much of an issue right?
did you feel like they were trying to pull something?

They were NOT upfront about it and were very defensive when I asked them about it after viewing the carfax report.

The one thing I have learned working in the car industry is, stay far far away from the little "dirt lot" type dealerships.

Actually, my family and I have been buying cars from TREND IMPORTS for years now. As a matter of fact they seemed to give the least "bull****" out of any of the used car dealerships that we went to in the Bellevue area.

The second car I bought from them which was a Mercedes E320 showed an accident on the Carfax report and I was explained how some accident reports are from minor little insurance claims and that not all of them mean that the car was actually in a severe accident. The fact that they offer a 30-DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE was enough for me to trust them and go with the purchase. I never found any issues or problems with it and I am still driving the Benz to this day.

So I am assuming that manojamalthiya either doesn't know how to buy a car or just doesn't know what they are even talking about because Trend Imports has always been one of the only used car lots I can trust in the past.

Hmmm. Never heard of them. It is suspicious that your first post is in defense of a sales lot. Sure you dont work there?

There is always a risk (even if you buy a car from the reputable dealer, too; usually big dealers are good about dealing with aftermath, if discovered to be a bad car.) if you really want the car and doesn't want to deal with guess game, you can always have it inspected prior to purchase

Always a risk in purchasing a used car. BMW maintenance Inspection I & II are well publicized. I would recommend that you have an independent BMW licensed mechanic look over the car first. Can this dealer provide you a maintence book showing regular maintenance Inspections and records?

My 2002 BMW 330i now has reached 42,700 miles and shortly I will be doing an Inspection II service, prior to 50,000 miles.

You don't even know what your'e talking about boy! Little or big dealership as long as you know what kind of car and budget your looking for you will be ok. Of course you get what you pay for plus your not buying a new car. In buying cars always do your homework.

You'd be surprised at how many new cars are damaged during transit. My parents have been transporting luxury high end vehicles for years and accidents happen from time to time. ie: the scratched front bumper on this lambo cost them 1500 to have sanded down and repainted. The dealer will never tell you about things like this but it happens frequently. Sure it's not a major accident, but dents & dings happen alot and 9 out of 10 times you'll never know your vehicle has had a panel repaired and repainted.

If you ask me, 30 day money back guarantee would never give me enough confidence to trust a seller or brand for that matter. :eeps:
