m60b40 short block specs

where do I get these??

I need the clearance specs for the main and rod bearings, piston ring end gap, torque specs, etc, etc.

my bentley manual doens't have them.

and it cost 80$! what a rip off!!

You may need to get the BMW Factory Repair manual. You should be able to find one on Ebay. It is possible that some has posted that info so try to do a Google search using the key words you put in your question above. The Bentley is a good manual to have but it is primarily for DIY and is not as detailed as the manuals that the Cirtified BMW mechanics use at the dealership.
