I'm usually not biased with new bimmers but this shape just isn't ticking for me.

Disagree entirely -- I think it's really lovely: evolutionary, but with a fresh slant. I can't wait to hear more detail about when it will be available, so I can start working to persuade my wife that another trip to Munich is in order.

Any pics out there without the disguise swirls yet?

Can anyone PhotoShop the 6 inches of fender gap out, so we can get a decent idea what this thing will look like in non-offroad spec? Does the folding hard top mean there will be no coupe? If this is going to function as coupe and vert, I'll stick with my MC. Otherwise, I agree with Lorch93 its a nice evoluation for the vert...

That is yet another very attractive BMW, not as nice as the upcoming 370z IMO but extremely attractive. Definitely better looking than the outgoing Z4. They should sell quite well.

You know what sucks about these is they now resemble the coupes and of the reasons I like having a coupe because they are so rare, unlike the roadsters. Now they'll be everywhere.

I read (in Roundel?) that there will be two models, with a soft top with the smaller engine and the hard top with the larger engine. If true, it will present a very tough decision!

Wow! I really like the looks of this car. I agree with the side mirrors too. I just hope the orange reflector/blinker will be clear or better yet much smaller.

Eh . . . I'm willing to bet that's part of the disguise. I highly doubt the production model will have those ugly bits on it!
