G'day fellow Aussie Beemer-owners
Thought I'd give an appreciative plug in response to excellent service I just experienced in Rockhampton, following a radiator failure.
Driving '98 E38 740iL 2000kms from Sydney to Mackay, North QLD (having just bought it privately).....got 1700 kms successfuly when infamous plastic side tank ruptured, stranding myself & mate helping me drive the distance.
"The Radiator Shop" in Farm Street, Rockhampton, bent over backwards to help get the vehicle back on the road a.s.a.p., ensuring they replaced the radiator complete, just as soon as the new part arrived from Brisbane 2 days later (despite them being busy with loads of other jobs).
They even opened the premises Saturday morning especially (not open for business weekends) so I could collect the car from them, knowing that was the soonest I could get back to Rockhampton from my home 350kms north!
