When I read the codes....#19 & F3 came up. #19 (ignition coil Cyl #01) and F3 (misfire cyl #06) So what does this indicate?? Why two different cylinders?? The care appears to be running just fine. :dunno: What must I do??

I took my car to an independent BMW repair center. He did not have the BMW diagnostic software because it's too expensive and he got a similar readings. He replaced an ignition coil and it still tripped the engine check light. I took the car to the dealer and they diagnosed it to be an emission related solenoid valve, I can look it up the name if you want, was leas than $50. After that the light never came back on.

Before the SES lights came on, I had just picked up the car from the paint & body shop. They cleaned the engine compartment before painting. Apparently some water or moisture from the cleaning agents must have got inside the boot of the ignition coil because two days later, the lights went out and have not come back on since. Soooo....I guess I got lucky. Thanks for the information...might be able to use it in the future should this happen again. I am glad that the problem was resolved on your car. Just a note: The codes DO NOT always reflect the REAL problem. I had another issue where the codes were incorrect. Go Figure!!
