Recently my door has been making squeaking sounds when opened. But just yesterday, when I opened my door to get out, it resisted a lot and made snapping sounds. Something clearly broke, so my question is, what would it cost to buy a 95' 530i Driverside front door. If it's too pricey, what would need to be done for a DIY. I've been getting very frustrated with my car lately. Just as I replaced my hood because somebody vandalized it, my door starts falling off...

Take a look at the door stop. It is the little metal arm that prevents the door from opening too far.

I had a look at it. The rubber 'casing' if you will has been pushed off and is just hanging on the door stop. When I open and close the door, it looks like a bolt broke the metal around that area where the door stop goes into the door.

At first, it started making crunching sounds, but now the door is opening smoothly except that the door stop doesn't work. You know how the door opens to like, two distances. Like medium and wide open. It doesn't have those presets anymore, I think mostly from the broken door stop?

The broken door stop is a common problem. With a little creativity you might be able to fix it.
