E36 Window stop problem

I have a 1995 Convertible where the driver window cant seem to find the top stopping point. it wants to run a little past the top and will strip the nylon gear if I let it keep doing it. I replaced the window motor and did not have the problem for about a month. now it has started again. what should I adjust or replace.

I am also curious to hear advice on this topic. My drivers side window always needs a little encouragement to make it all the way to the top. Other one just goes all the way with one push of the button.

There's an initialization procedure for the motor that has to be followed. Did you do that? I don't know what the procedure is (sorry) but I know there is one. It is supposed to set the stop points for the window.
