View Full Version : Imola Red ZHP on a dealer lot

I spotted my first ZHP today, it's sitting on a dealer lot and I have to say I'm impressed. It's Imola Red with alcantara and silver trim, the only options are xenons, moonroof and cold weather package.
mbr129, I have to admit that it's one beautiful color you picked. I always liked it in the photos but they don't really do this color a justice. With subtle M-technic kit and those beautiful 18" rims it just fits this car.
I like interior a lot but would prefer black cube trim, I think.
If I was in a market for a new 330 right now this would be my first choice.

We had one last week that we swapped from our sister store in NJ. It was Imola Red with Black leather and all the toys (nav, xenons, etc.)-- very nice car.

I was at my dealers this Friday and they had two sitting on the lot a Imola Red ZHP with a moonroof, and a Silver with black leather, xenons, moonroof and cold weather package.
They wanted something like 46 grand plus for the Silver ZHP. :yikes:

46k! That's a stone's throw from an M3 at MSRP.:yikes:

That's my car! I picked it up Monday from Inskip.
Such an awesome car, I just had to get one after trolling these boards and reading all the great things you guys have to say about the ZHP and the 3-series in general. This board is really a great resource.
Sorry, I can't give any meaningful impressions of the car (other than to say it's incredible) like some of the other members, because I am coming from a Grand Cherokee and well, there is simply no comparison.
Hopefully I'll get some pictures up this weekend.
If anyone is around the eastern Connecticut area we should hook up and talk cars.

Cool! Congrats on your car. :D
They didn't put one of those hideous Inskip logo stickers on your car, did they?

Unfortunately they did, any tips on how to remove it?

Larry, they are showing 6/24 as the estimated delivery date. Although it's estimated, I hope to have it by next weekend.

 I hate those damn things. I assume they're just stuck on with an adhesive, so dental floss and a hair dryer (to heat up the glue) should work.

Nice! Thanks for the heads up. Now I have to insure and register it before I go pick it up. I need to call my CA and see if he has heard of any definite date yet.:D

If you've never autoX'ed before. The test and tune day next weekend is the perfect "get your feet wet" event of the season (other than the schools). I think there's only like 45 people attending on two mile long courses. With that few number of people attending, we may only have one of the courses open, or maybe both courses joined together. :yikes: See if you can still get in...
I'll warn ya though.... once you attend one event, you're hooked. :D

Good idea. I wasn't sure if I would get my helmet by then, but it looks like I should. :D I'll go sign up now. I take it you'll be there Larry?
A couple weeks ago I did the Advanced Drivers Skills School, and they did a mini autox course at the end. I'm definitely going to be hooked! I still need to write up my thoughts on that event soon...

Yup! I'm there. :bigpimp: What's cool is that you can go with other people, try their cars, let some really good drivers take your car to see what it can realllly do... It's just a good time. If you don't get a helmet by then, you can use mine and we'll ask Steve i f you can be "feilding cones" while I'm driving, and visa versa. It'd be cool if we could hop in each others cars though, so see if you can hook up w/a helmet.

Sorry about that, guys. Our sales manager is anal about that stuff, and unless the customer specifically said not to put it on, he makes sure no car leave the lot without one. ;)
Dental floss will take it off. It's just held on with double-sided tape.
"klickthis"-- I loved your car! Funny thing is that one of our salesmen leased a Silver Grey ZHP a month or so ago, and when he saw your car, he was very upset that he chose Silver Grey and not Imola Red.
Let me know if you ever need anything!
Here's the dreaded Inskip badge. Just grab a piece of dental floss and rub up and down behind the double sided tape and it'll come right off.

 Not bloody likely. :D It's just a pet peeve of mine to see dealers attach advertisement stickers on a car. License plate frames I can deal with. And NO, I don't want any. :flipoff: ;)
Does zcasavant's poor M3 have one too? :(

No. He didn't buy his at Inskip, he got it from a private party. Therefore, he was not subject to the Inskip-label Nazi. I'll have to give him one as well. :p
Well, I didn't buy mine through Inskip either, but I'm an exception to the rule. I'm just advertising for them because the more cars they sell, the better it is for me too!

Fair enough. :) I just believe more sales can be generated via word of mouth vs. stickers on cars.
LOL. Inskip-label Nazi
Zach, please don't put an Inskip sticker on your car!

Word of mouth is extremely, extremely important.
But then again, don't underestimate the number of clients that come in looking for a car because they saw our name plastered on the back of some car on the highway.
Zach better be careful that I don't accidentally slip one on his car next time I see him! I am quickly turning into the "Inskip-label Nazi in training", and I am quick to spot cars that do not carry proper Inskip labeling. Yes, I have been corrupted.
