Went to start my car this morning and right away it made a slight noise and spins over reel fast.

Sounds like it has a broken timing belt. No compression or so it sounds like.

The crankshaft is turning but iam not sure if the camshaft is turning.
Does this engine have a timing belt?

Or a chain?

Its a 2.5 litre 6 cylinder.

What would cause this?

She was running perfect the day before. It only has about 91,000 miles.

Also would the valves be ok, it was'nt driven i just went to start it and this is when the problem occured.

Any help or ideas would help.

Iam hoping to fix it myself if possible.

Thanks in advance.

David

Ok I have a chain.

Is this a common problem?

What would cause this/

Most of all will this bend the valves?

It was'nt run , it just all of a sudden won't start after making a slight noise.

Please any help would be appreciated

Thanks David
