New Bimmer owner

Am looking forward to much communication and shared joy of my new vehicle. I have just aquired a 1994 BMW 530i, i have little to no knowledge of the vehicle thought I have been working with my father on 2002s for several years now, as he races them. I am awaiting delivery of several manuals ordered but have a basic question to start. How do I get to the battery under the back seat?

Just grip it and rip it!

Grab the front of the seat bottom on either the driver side or passenger side and give a swift upwards pull, then repeat on the other side.
