Hey guys i got a 95 325is wondering if the rims from bavauto.com Beyern Wheel - Mesh Style - 17" x 8" would fit my car....but i also need some help on which tire size would look good!??im leaning towards the nitto INVO's..can you guys let me know !! thanks!!

I read on another forum the 8" are too wide and will rub in turns. But 7" will fit if you find 17" x 7"

It's not the wheels that rub, it's the tires.

You can fit wheels up to 8.5" but you gotta watch the tire size. I had some rubbing on 235's when running 8.5" wheels but others run 225s on the same wheel with no problems. The Beyern mesh wheels will fit fine.

And please don't tell me you're choosing tires based on looks! Get the widest, stickiest, most common tire size you can fit.

That said, a 225/45/17 should work well.

235s are perfectly fine, as are 8" wheels. In fact, 235s came standard on some E36 models.

I ran 17x8 Mille Miglia MM-IIs wrapped in 235 width BFG g-Force Sports without a single problem, and that was on H&R Sports and Bilsteins.

What do you mean "would I be able to take quick turns"? Compared to now or what? Most of that depends on the tire.

Edit, PS, I HATE Beyern Mesh. Go find something that looks better.

If you want to make your car look good, you've got an easy option: Ditch the car bra.
The theory - that you drive around in an awful looking car so that the next owner gets to have a nice looking car - doesn't sit well with me.

lol ill take the bra ooff when i get my m3 front bumper..but i put that on because i commute lots of paint gets chiped already messed up but it will look great!! take turns like i do now..?

Ok, so you want to know if the 17x8s will let you take turns like you do now. I see you're on the stock sport 16s.
From a performance standpoint, a good 17x8 is THE best wheel for an E36. Good contact patch, good sidewall size, not terribly heavy, etc.

Now, a HUGE enemy to cars is unsprung mass. Wheels are unsprung, rotating mass. You should find out the official specs for wieght if you care about performance. I googled, and came up with everything from 19lbs to 28lbs for the 17x8. Maybe get a hold of BavAuto and ask them.

But, that size, in a good, lightweight wheel with a good tire will give you great performance.
