here are the pics, I called Bavarian Recycling in Cali and the list of parts. The damage was on the right rear quarter panel. The passenger rear door is damaged, right rear tail light, gas tank and trunk. That excudes all the minors parts. They thought it would need over $4,000 in parts(excluding labor and paint) they said there was no doubt that USAA would cut me a check. My body shop friend said I should buy it back and part it out. Here are the details:
1994 525i manual tranny
126,867 miles
M50 engine in great shape
complete cooling system overhaul less than 2,000 miles ago
complete new Meyle suspension overhaul on the front(upper arms, lower arms, tie rods)
2 new kuhmos 205/65-15 on front
both fogs work great and all head lights are in excellent shape
completely reupolstered interior with black leather
I have 6 new OE spark plugs in the box
new fuel filter in the box
If interested send me a PM.
I will take names and email addresses. When I get the official word you will be garuanteed first dibs.
all guages and fuel sending unit work fine
the car was a great car, I averaged 450 miles per tank with it
thanks guys- Brian

Bev Recycling is on my neck of the woods. A lot of the reps are A-Holes.

I feel for you. Glad to hear that you and your son are okay. I have a similar story; relatively minor collision and front-end damage... my repair estimate was about $8k. I know it doesn't look like much but I bent the frame and that was that. I got $4k for my '91 525i with just shy of 200k miles though and didn't want the hassle so I took the money.

Good luck, I'm sad to see another E34 down. They truly are wonderful cars.

I know its a small item, but Ill take your shift knob. Looks better than my black plastic one!

Will that front bumper fit on a 95 525i? I don't see why not but just wondering.

yes the front bumper will fit, there is a slight crack in the very bottom, hard to notice though.

what shade is your paint? jet black? (what code? it's on the passenger side strut housing)

do you have the small door that goes to the back bumper near the tail pipes? it covers up a hook used for towing I believe?

someone backed in to me and mine fell off, never found it.

also do you have the psgr and driver side rear window regulators and motors? are they in complete working order? if so how much?

how much you want for the driver door rear door ???

viktor - The repeaters were added on the later car. Yours is too early to have them. If you want them you can cut a hole and add them.

...really? hmmm... i'd sure love more info on that, sir!

You need the parts and a tool to cut the holes. After they are in you will need to make your own wiring.

looks quite repairable. Since you recently did a lot of fixing why not repair it?
There are plenty of cars being parted that could donate the panels you need. Used parts and a sympathetic body shop could get it done inexpensively.

the body shop bought it back, one of his employees wants to make it his project. USAA reimbursed about 25% of my recent repairs. I will have a kenwood CD player for sale already soldered and ready to plug and play for sale that was in my car(i did the install). Just slide the puppy in, first one gets it $100

there goes my headlights! >_<
Its all good, I know its much easier to get all it out of your hands than deal with parting out.

I have an excelon with a 40GB music keg in the trunk... best money I ever spent ;)
