I'll tell you, I'm half tempted to bring some bubbly and a champagne flute or two along with me this year.

So the SB polo and racquet club is okay with Bimmerfest parking on their lawn? This can either end safe and responsibly or with tires flinging manicured grass all over the place.

Or do the horses thrash the lawn enough that a car show won't make much of a difference?

OMG - the Santa Barbara Polo Club is AMAZING. You guys are really going to LOVE this new place.

These pictures suck - it's an awesome venue - I've been there a few times.

Yeah!!!! Finally a date and a location. Here's to a great bimmerfest without all the traffic mess, and alot less dust. For those of you who have not attended in past, plan to get up early and stay late. Bring a camera and a few drinks. Hopefully we can have some food vendors (how about In N Out trailer) so we don't have to leave. Maybe we can go back to forming areas for same series cars. Now Jon just needs to make sure we have plenty of those hot models to make it a perfect fest.

Can't wait !!!!!!

This will be my FIRST bimmerfest and I was wondering how it works? Do I just show up or do I have to sign up or something?

there will be a registration here on this site so that the people running bimmerfest know how many people will be showing up. also parking last year was $20 IIRC.

so bring cash.

it will be a blast.

Great iv'e been to the last 2 events awsome venture! we are a club of bimmers serving all 5 counties. TEAM GERMAN ASSAULT CC OUT OF L.A. hopefully we will be taking 20 cars. all bimmers and some audi, mercedes amg's but they will be cruising in our bimmers. can't wait til bimmerfest 09. though i'm kind of bummed out cuz last year the cops were being jags to all of us once we got on the freeways and we weren't speeding or anything. they pulled one of our cars over.and the chp wanted to ticket all of us for being on the freeway. cuz we ran something over well that sucks, and i'm in law enforcement too been a cop for 12 years what a drag. i love bimmerfest and love the drive but cringe when i see a chippy...i hope its different this time...

We also have meets that we gather at:

Walnut meet in walnut ca look at bimmerforums/socale36 for directions.

San Gabriel meet in the city of Alhambra ca bimmerforums/socale36/e36.net

As a S.B. local I am super stoked that it will be staying in town. All the talk last year about needing to find a bigger venue, and I didn't even consider the polo grounds. Glad it didn't end up at the Ventura fairgrounds. This is definitely a step up from previous locations.

Saw the picture of the entrance, i hope it would not be like last year with one entrance and 500 cars trying to squeeze in the small entrance; this can create a traffic jam all over.

Saw the picture of the entrance, i hope it would not be like last year with one entrance and 500 cars trying to squeeze in the small entrance; this can create a traffic jam all over.

That thought crossed my mind, too. I think there is a second entrance, but it leads through the condos and it wouldn't surprise me if it were off limits to avoid annoying the residents. Fortunately and unlike the fairgrounds, the site is a good mile off the freeway with long, low traffic approaches from both the North and the South. If there is congestion at the entrance, it should be possible to have people pull to the side of the road and feed in slowly without creating a nightmare for anyone else trying to use the road.
