As this is a sudden thing I'm thinking maybe fuel pump?:eeps: Any other ideas? Other things to check? Where is the fuel pump and how hard is it to change? Thanks in advance for any help guys.

Fuel pump is in the trunk. It is not that bad to change. There is a black cover you will need to remove just to the right of the spare tire.
It could also be the crank position sensor. The car will not show a check engine light for either.

Intresting, and not all that damned expensive. What I mean by expensive is it looks like I could replace that. She had been complaining of a shuddering or hesitation at times during acceleration particularly at highway speeds which also leads me to believe this could be a fuel pump issue. Whaddya think e34 community?

My pump just died...no notice and I had to have ti towed. You can pull a plug and see if there's gas on it or see if any fuel smell emits from the cylinder. When my pump went, it just went, and I paid $600+ US for the job I could have done in the driveway. Check to see when it was last changed and act accordingly.

Could be no spark too, pull the plugs and inspect.
