View Full Version : Replacing my RFT's on my 2006 Sports 330
After doing some research, I decided to dump the Potenza RFT's. 2 tires in front are worn off so I need to replace them and rear will be due in 3-5k miles. So instead of just replacing the fronts with RFT's, I decided to switch to Yokohama Advan S4. My question is where to buy and get it installed and also where to get tire and rim insurance.
I've heard people recommending Discount tire but any recommendations in Atlanta Area where I can reliably buy the tires and get them installed ?
Also Tirerack.com has this hazard insurance and people talk about dealer insurances. Can you recommend what to do with tire and wheel insurance ? Also, should I now go for AAA since I won't have RFT's ?
Thanks a lot in advance.

I was curious, did you consider the Yokohama S Drive versus the all season tire? I would think in Atlanta you could get away with the summer tire and enjoy the higher performance due to the mild winters? On the insurance side, I'm not familiar with wheel insurance, although I know it exists. The Tire Rack hazard insurance covers items such as nails, pothole damage, etc. that isn't normally covered by the tire manufacturer, which will only cover defects. Can you still use the BMW mobility plan instead of AAA?
I didn't really look at summer tires since it drops below 32 several times in Atlanta. Even though there usually isn't snow or ice, I'd rather trade the extra performance with risk. I'm a risk averse guy :)
