My oil.
I am doing an oil change today and I had a blown head gasket. Well that is taken care of as of yesterday so today I am changing the oil.
What is the best way to make sure I get all the white milkly stuff out of my motor and also the water that might still be in there??
I looked at the motor flush stuff and the engine repair stuff but not sure which I should get or what is proper way to go.
I was thinking of doing this
Change oil and put in some engine repair stuff run for about a month than change oil again. Both times using Mobil 1
Any tips would be great
Thanks

Engine repair stuff?
To me, it's fix gasket, then what you're already doing. Minus "Engine repair stuff".

No the head gasket is fixed i am saying I want to make sure all of the coolant and water is safely out of the engine.
The engine repair stuff is just something that you add to the oil to help get back hp, and lubes gaskets and adds an extra additive to the oil to help the engine last longer.
Basically I just want to make sure I get all the water and coolant out of the places that it could be hidding
Thanks

Im sure its drained having had the head off. Just fill er up and if you are worried, flush the oil out a couple times. Ive never had a problem after head gasket change.

Sorry mate, what I was trying to say is that what you're doing is what I'd do. Except for the oil additive - I'm rarely convinced by those things.
Water will evaporate once you get it up to temperature. So you're left with a small amount of emulsion in your oil. If you change it now, you really will get rid of almost all of it.
But if you change it again in a month like you planned, then you can be absolutely sure.

Thanks guys
I changed it using Mobil 1 and added Restores Engine Restore. I said Engine Repair which was my mistake I meant engine restore, its just an oil additive suppose to help keep the engine lubed.
The oil didnt look to bad so I think I will change it again after xmas and than should be good.
When you change the oil on bmws after how many miles should I change it again normally?
Thanks
Bernie
