Sorry if this has already been asked but I couldn't find it. Any suggestions as to the best performance-oriented all-weather tire for my vehicle? I live in MI so need something to get me throught the winter. I do have all-wheel drive but would like to compromise warm weather driving as little as possible. I guess that's what everyone wants in cold weather climate. Thanks all!

If you are looking at winter performance run flats - there are only a couple of choices I think. The OEM Bridgestone - and I believe the other might be a Dunlop.

Try building a set on Tire Rack and you will see your choices.

In non run flat there are more choices available.

I have the bridgestone winters LM22 and have been quite pleased with them in both dry and wet/snow/ice.

OP was asking about all-seasons. Here's a thread that I started and got some answers from Gary @ Tire Rack...

Nokian WR's or WRG2's.

Tire Rack doesn't sell these but they are fanatastic in snow ond on dry roads. They are V rated. I ran them on my 17" winter wheels on my old A6 4.2 for years here in Boston.

Highly recommend the Yokohama ADVAN S4 if you only encounter occasional snow. I am running them on my E93 for the winter and they are great. Tire Rack has them at competitive prices.

Two of the highest performance tire I know of that still is considered an all season tires would include the Bridgestone RE960 A/S Pole Position and Yokohama Advan S4. While the Nokian WR has been praised for good winter traction, I would be skeptical about that tires dry road grip and handling would compare to the Z rated 960A/S and Advan S4 tires.
