E34 Thurnostat

Please can somone help!!!!!!

I'M a dumbo, taken out the thurmostat from my 540 and by the time i got the new one i'm
uncertain the corect way around, no arrow on the new or old thermostst.

Thanks in anticapation of some wisdom.

Why is it I can open the below link? I want to the site http://www.bimmerdiy.com and selected E34 DIYs and most of them dont open and I was suggested to download Firefox browser to view the sites. Done so, but still facing the same problem.
Please help.

The placement of your "thermostat" is unversal so look at the image and install yours in the same manner. Also, replace a plastic thermostat housing with a metal one.
