I have an 08 328i with sports pkg. and Saturday had 4 Bridgestone RE760's installed. Today I went to my BMW dealer to purchase a part and mentioned to the parts guy that I had ditched the runflats. At this point he tells me what a mistake this was ,that the cars suspension was built for the RFT and won't handle as well, will wander on the highway, get strange undulations etc. I told him I haven't noticed any problems at which he say's that as time goes on it gets worse. I know The Tire Rack tests on the E90 platform. I used to put 33 lbs. front and 38 lbs. rear on the RE050AII,what is your recommendation on these. Please help.

Thanks

There is nothing unique about the cars suspension that could make using non runflats a problem.

Gary, thanks for your response. I take it the parts guy doesn't know what he's talking about.

He's either making that up out of thin air or it is what he was told to say. I suppose I can't blame him if it is the latter.

Going to a non runflat is very common on this car.

BTW what is your recommendation for tire pressure 225/45 17 & 255/40 17. I'm currently running 33 and 38 same as the rft's.

Yes, I'd still run those pressures for this setup.
