Can anyone please post a copy or provide the link to SIB #24-03-08? I am having the same issue Momo's Seven had with lurching when accelerating from a stop, and he tells me this SIB relates to the reprogramming required to correct it. Unfortunately, Momo cannot provide a copy.

Thanks.

I still have the delayed engagement during warm up car even rolls back like a SMG on a slight hill, however that update fixed my harsh shifting in steptronic mode 2-3/3-4 over 2500 RPM that was annoying.

Thanks, Momo. I notice the same jolt in the shifting in my car as well. I will take this SIB in with me when I take my car to the dealer for "de-clunking."

I'm having a similar issue on my 2008 550i (though it seems to have decreased in frequency lately). I've reported it to dealers twice, both times they came back and said they couldn't find anything. Occasionally, whether in sport mode or 'normal', when I'm slowing to a stop, the car will jolt - as if I've been hit from behind. At times this happens when I'm starting out from a stop as well -- can't seem to see any pattern when the car is warm or cold.

Anyone know if this service bulletin applies to the 550, or if there's another issue?

thanks

ira

It says E61 but 535i ---- but all E61's in US are xDrive.... could this apply to a 535xiT?

Besides the text in the SIB, the repair order states "Reset DSC calibration using the GT1. Recalibrated the steering angle sensor and the sunroof."

Anybody know what either the reset DSC or recalibration of the sunroof or steering angle sensor actually is all about? My car is a '08 335I.

My repair order stated that a recalibration of the steering angle sensor and a reset of the TPM were performed as prompted by the SSS in the vehicle. Not certain was SSS means, but my SA told me these were functions that needed to be performed as a result of the reprogramming. They do not relate to the transmission issue in the SIB.

does anyone know if there is a service bulliten or other info that would apply to my 06 525i which also has the described 'delayed engagement' issue? i was all excited until i saw that this info applies specifically to n54 cars
