Hey all.
Long time since my last post. Anyway, I need some advise. My 2 rear tires are nearly worn (3-4/32), my front right tire has a puncture with a nail. Needless to say its time to replace them all.
My tires only have 15600 miles on them, no track time. I am kind of disappointed they only lasted this long. I suspect this is because they are "ultra high performance summer tires" tires.
The truth is I personally do not care if they are "ultra high performance summer" tires. I want nice Run Flat Tires, but I would rather have them last for 30-50K miles. So here is my question. Can I install "ultra high performance all-season tires", such as Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP? How do these compare to say PS2's? I want the tires to last longer, but do not want to give up to much performance and handling...
Other suggestions have been Toyo T1R and Bridgestones. However these are both "ultra high performance summer", which again I think I want to avoid in favor of longativity. Correct?!?!?
This might all be a mute point though as I am having trouble finding All Season ZP variants in 225/40ZR18 and 255/35ZR18 sizes. I assume "ZP" means run flat, correct? Can I use a different size with the same wheel?
Thanks!
Brett
