I'm with BMW of North America, LLC. The M Engine Dynamics Control in the M3 provides 2 different settings for the throttle system:
1. Sport Mode
2. Normal Mode
The sport mode provides a more aggressive throttle response. This means that the engine responds more spontaneously to any motion of the accelerator pedal. When driving at slow speeds (i.e. heavy traffic) in sport mode, even slight application of the accelerator pedal will result in rapid engine response. In slow traffic BMW recommends selecting the normal mode for improved drive characteristics.
