I was on a nice empty canyon road yesterday, and decided to have a little fun with my ZHP. It was warm, so I had the A/C on. After a few minutes of quick driving, I noticed that the air coming out of the vents was getting warmer and warmer. I slowed down for a minute and the air started coming out colder again, so I sped back up again. After a minute or two it started getting warmer again. I was enjoying the curvy road so I sweated it out for the next 15 or 20 minutes until I got to the end of the road. After slowing down, the A/C started blowing cold again.
Does anyone know if the A/C is supposed to do this? I was keeping the RPMs between about 3500 and 6500. I know many cars disengage the compressor clutch when the car is floored but I didn't even have it floored very much. It seems hard to believe that it's supposed to work this way. Has anyone else experienced this?
