I recently posted this question on the e36 forum but one of the guys suggested I post it here too. A guy near me is selling these mint mille miglia wheels that are meant for an e39(they used to be on an m5) but I really want to put them on my e36. I thought that this would not work but the guy(a bmw mechanic) urged me to give it a try and put them on my car so i did. They looked awesome and made me want them even more. They stuck out a little more in the back to the edges of the wheel well but I actually liked the look b/c it appeared more aggressive. The fronts were fine but when going over potholes the backs rubbed a little. Mark@EACTuning suggested that I use hub rings. I was wondering if this was the only solution or if I could go with lower profile tires and a fender roll and be fine.

In case you were wondering here is the link:

Thanks guys

Oh and if I can remedy this by just putting on a lower profile tire what size can I do it with?
