Gary - 528 snow tire question - Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3

I was planning to order a set of Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3, size 225-50-17 (the same size as the OEM tires) and got the following message:

"The following tire you have selected has a higher load rating than the vehicle's Original Equipment (O.E.) tires. This typically results in increased ride harshness, which some customers may find undesirable."

Can you explain this a bit more?

Also, I assume that the wheel size needs to be an exact fit, right? The stock size is 17x7.5, so I guess that's the only way to pick from (not 17x8)? The only product available is Sport Edition F5 Silver Painted, I assume that will fit fine?

Unfortunately the web site is programmed to give this warning on any XL tire, including cases where the ride would not be affected. The winter tires will actually ride more softly than most all season or summer tires the so it is fine to ignore the erroneous warning on the site.
