Hey guys! Need advice.....My rear passenger window doesn't want to go up. I hear
the motor running on both the up and down positions but nothing. Any advice?

Thanks in advance!

Window regulators in the BMW "X" line have been a problem. It probably needs to be replaced, but you seem to be pretty far out of warranty unless you have some sort of extended plan. If you are paying for it then perhaps you should find a good BMW independent shop for the work instead of the more expensive dealer.

You probably have a problem with a window regulator. I have paid approximately $380 twice to replace the right rear and driver window regulator. I decided I am not going to pay again and have begun doing research because I will not have to replace the front passenger window regulator (without motor). If you hear the motor working but it is doing nothing you may have a functioning motor and won't need to replace it. This may mean you can get on line and order the regulator only. You can get on line and find a window regulator (without motor) and replace it yourself. I think you can find it for under $100. There are a couple of links on this website to instructions on how to do the work yourself, or you will have to pay someone too much to do it for you.

I will try to attach the how to guide, otherwise e-mail me at gardnergarcia@aol.com and I will send it to you if you need it.

Good Luck,

Mike
