Love your car, are those E38 wheels? If so what size tire is on them?

i would say yes you have to bleed the system, because by removing the hoses (and thus having to refill the radiator) air was introduced into the system, so you have to bleed it out

The bleeding screw is marked "Entluftung", it's plastic, on the top of the radiator, and right next to the radiator fill cap. At least it is on mine. Large phillips screwdriver will do the trick, but don't torque it down too hard. Plastic is plastic.
