--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was driving my car and the heat was working fine, the i put on the 4th level and then all of sudden the fan stopped and the air was not blowing as fast anymore. I put it to the defrost on the front and hot air is still coming out , but not as fast or as much, then i moved the knob to the heat to face me, however, no hot air is coming or anything. I am assuming my fan is broken. Any suggestions would be great. I hope this is a problem I can fix, cars costing me way too much money.

Second question- Interior Tire rods- how much do they cost, currenlty when i move my car to the left, the car shakes tremendously

does the fan still work on the other settings?? if so, then you need a blower resistor.

as for the tie rods, i suggest that you have them checked before you replace them. the easiest way to do so yourself is to jack the one side up and wiggle the tire with your hands at the 3 & 9 o'clock positions. if there is any free play, then you need to verify the location. it could be an inner ball joint. it could be a tie rod, or the tie rod end (outer tie rod), or even 2 of the 3. worst case is 3 of the 3.

either way, check both sides. if everything is tight, then you need to check elsewhere. maybe a tire?? try swapping sides on the front to see if that makes any change to the concern.

if you're not a diy'er, then i suggest getting an inspection done as soon as you can.

best of luck.

My fan will blow very well sometimes and other days it will just barley come out I think it could be bacause i have never changed the filter... but anyways Tie rods are easy to fix and pretty easy to determane what is wrong with them. Jack the side that you think the vibration is coming from up and shake the tire in all directions just like DrivinFaster said if there is any play up and down usually means ball joint or a bushing somewhere and if it moves side to side your outer tie rod end could be bad or it could just be loose best of luck.
