Yeah, but I meant that they are coming one after the other.... bang bang bang.... not even a short break in-between group buys.... one starts up before the previous one completely finishes it seems.... :eeps:

Are you saying you want the mirrors but your creditors are angry? :D
Now, not that I can participate since I'd have to do heavy mods to put coupe mirrors on, but wouldn't one of the points of getting the M3 mirrors be to make it foldable? Sure, you still need the switch and make the wiring changes, but you need to consider getting more than one mod out of it!

Unfortunately Tony is only doing the manual fold mirrors. We tried to get the auto-folds though.

If I were to even consider this, I'd be looking for the auto-folding type.... plus I'd have to get my euro spilt mirror glass for those too. :p so it's real low on my list if I even decide to do it at all...
got other more important mods to do first.... driving school, suspension, performance software.... :eeps:

Hey guys, just saying that if you have any questions about the mirrors, feel free to email or PM me, I've been working with Tony and Albert to get this going. I'm not a very frequent poster here but I spend a lot of time on E46Fanatics and I'm getting as many people involved in the GB as possible.
Thanks to Albert, Tony, and Jon for putting this together after the 120+ participant group buy with MMS-Tuning fell through the cracks!
JL
Kudos to Jon for setting this up, but I gotta tell ya, M3 mirrors really are a step backward. It's quite a sacrifice to make for appearances sake.
In fact, if someone with jet black coupe mirrors wants to sell theirs after the group buy, send me a PM with your price.

Mirror size?
My old 323Ci had much better mirrors than does the M3. The M3s are OK, but the 323 gave you a panoramic view of what was behind. The M3 gives you a periscope picture.

You missed out on that. Cutter did one a few years back, selling E46 M3s for MSRP when people were charging $20,000 mark-ups. Ended up sapping Shafer's M3 allocation dry for what, like 5 years?

I really wish I could participate, but I'm buying this

Al, do these have the hookup for those of us with heated mirrors? This is looking like another great GB. Keep them coming.

4 so far, but things are a little slow right now because of the long weekend. I think we'd like to see about 20... I can't see any reason why we can't get above that in about 5-7 days.

So what are the exact details of the group buy? Minimum order? When does it close? I'm still thinking if I want in or not.
Thanks

We're hoping for 20 participants. We're almost halfway there.

Yeah, they are heated.
They are manual folding. A lot of you guys should complain about them not being autofolding...because many of you won't have fuse #57 (search the boards to learn about this) and thus would be waisting an extra 200-300 dollars on a function you could never get to work. Because of this, and the very limited availability of the Autofolding M3 mirrors, Cutter motors and I decided to just go for the manual folding mirrors. Sure, some of you have fuse #57, but many do not, and we didn't want to sell you guys autofolding mirrors and then hear complaints that "they dont' work"...
Also.. Last I checked (2 days ago) we had about 7 people. I'm sure it's more... and I'm sure it will go up. I had 11 email addresses of for-sure buyers, I emailed them, and I'm almost sure they will order after the long weekend.
Annnnywayysss... happy belated 4th everyone, and PM or email me with ANY questions whatsoever.
Thanks

Yes, they retain Autotilt and memory functions (if you have them already)

Yes, please be patient... we're at 9 registrants as of this evening... this group buy WILL HAPPEN. :D We are working with very reputable dealer (Cutter Motors) so we are well assured this one will go through.
We should be able to get at least 20 people by next week I think, and get this going.

What happened to the 100+ buyers that wanted these! :dunno:
I would guess than a good number of buyers became shy after the first one fell through. jlevi came to me to make sure we could do this with a reputable vendor so things would go smoothly. Also I think a number of individuals just haven't been aware of this group buy.
20+ buyers should be easy... if we can get more, that's great, but I know folks have been wanting these for a while now.

I have a 99 323i with premium package and power seats, will these mirrors work on my car? I saw in an earlier post that some modifiication is needed to get the mirrors to work in a sedan. Can someone please let me know the extent of these modifications, and what will be involved.
Thanks
Group buy is closed! If you have registered, you will be receiving an email from me tonight with instructions on how to complete the group buy. Your patience is appreciated!

With that much power in the M3... who needs to look back? Gotta keep focused on what's in front of you!!
