Hey Guys,

Here is my ZHP Alcantara wheel for sale. It does not come with the airbag.

The wheel has about 30k miles on it, and while it is in very good shape it does have some wear at the 10:00 and 12:00 positions where my hand typically rests. The bottom and right sides are immaculate. I always cleaned it with a damp microfiber rag to keep it in good shape. The microfiber prevented pills that you would get using a typical piece of cloth.

The buttons all light up perfectly, and the plastic trim is in excellent shape. There is a small cut in the alcantara where I nicked it with a razor when I was removing a sticker from my windshield . This happened over 20k miles ago and hasn't expanded, so I don't expect that it will become any more than a superficial problem. Here is a shot of the hole, it's to the right of the penny, you may not even notice it:

Here are the rest of the pics. This is one case where I'm sure everyone will appreciate the oversized images...

What's the deal with these? I hear all the time that they wear out fast and are replaced under warranty. Is that from lack of maintenance? Why would someone prefer this material over leather?

If they get nasty or worn out it's from lack of maintenance. They require cleaning with a microfiber roughly once per week IMO. If not, the oils in your hand will wear down the alcantara, cause it to pill, etc. If you don't mind the maintenance though, it is a grippier, nicer feeling alternative. It was originally used on steering wheels for track cars. Additionally, the material is not hot during the summer and not cool during the winter like leather is.

Anyway, it's now sold. Thanks for looking guys.
