I was just reading around about using an additive on my transmission to help stop the slipping. I know your not supposed to flush or change the fluid after 80k but, could I drain the fluid add the additive and put the old transmission fluid back in. Any advice I would appreciate!

If it is allready slipping try anything. I'd just add the fluid. Having an extra quart or so will not be a problem.

Who says NOT to change the fluid after 80k?
Probably SHOULD change the fluid after 80k.
I had MAJOR tranny issues with it slamming into gear and slipping in and out at stop signs.
170k miles, did th flush and filter, it's like a brand new car.
CHANGE THE FLUID ;)
I changed trany fluid/filter for the first time at about 80,000. I change it every 30,000 mikles or so.
