Rather random post that may not get a reply, however as an Aussie I was wondering where the rest of you get your parts. Down here in Tasmania there's not many stores I can go to, I suppose I could use the Yellow Pages but here you go anyway.

Wreckers have bits and pieces, but in particular I was looking for a knob insert with a clear backing, part number being around "25 11 2 231 554". Either way!

TRY 'TRADEME.CO.NZ'...it's a format similiar to Ebay but been going longer. I just bought an e34 535i and need a few bits and pieces. Perth has bugger all in BMW used bits, and as NZ brings them in from all over the world as used imports, they are cheap and parts abound. i.e door lock solenoids( they wear out and one door will stay locked) guy in ChCh is parting out 2 e34's NZ$30 each. he ahs a zillion feedback points, so I have no probs buying that way.
