Three questions:

1) Someone at the BMW 800 status # told me that all M owners get a free 1 day M school. On these forums, I saw one post claiming it did not apply to M3s b/c they are too common. Which is true?

2) If I do get the M school and choose to do PCD at the same time, do I get to spend 2 days back to back on the track?

3) My sales advisor claims he can't change to PCD even though the order just went in last week, and the BUILD date is week 10 (first week of March). It seems rather unreasonable the delivery location can't change. He's sorta new, so do y'all know something he doesn't?

Not true, however the M3 applicability for the free class ended on 1 Jan'09; ie, it only was for M3s purchased between Oct-Dec 2008

Only if you could schedule it that way, but since you missed the Dec'08 cutoff, it is a moot point

I believe your new CA is uninformed in this regard, but the various CAs who frequent this forum should chime-in (eg, Irv, Adrian, Will)?

Yeah, I ended up going there today. My salesman (who was the internet sales manager) didn't believe that something like PCD existed. THEN, he introduced me to the General Sales Manager telling me that his guy has been a BMW salesman for 22 years, and the GSM STILL didn't believe me. He told me that they had to do a courtesy delivery at an SC dealership.

I ended up getting on a computer at the dealership, pulling up BMWUSA.com AND Bimmerfest PCD forum/wiki, showing it to the internet sales manager, and then calling the PCD on speakerphone so we could have the PCD tell these guys how to send a car to PCD!!! The internet sales manager was so excited after he confirmed all of this was possible that he told the GSM, 2 other sales managers, and other 3 salesmen individually!! Then then thanked me 3X over for telling him about PCD. The GSM was shocked something like this was possible. I told that him if the sales managers were really grateful, they could pay for my M school that I missed out on, but that didn't fly :(

+1 for Bimmerfest & BMWUSA.com

My guess would be that a lot of CA's in California have never been involved in a PCD since they're on the west coast and the vast majority of their customers would be from California. The new owner would then need to get to South Carolina and then drive or ship their car back home, and most people would not want that expense. I bought my car from a dealership in California and did PCD. But I live in Maryland. Even though my CA had not done a PCD before, he at least knew what it was and had some familiarity with what was required.

Sounds like you've got them straightened out. Look forward to meeting you if you decide to pick up your M3 at PCD

Yup, I'm definitely doing a PCD. The paperwork's already been submitted. I'm just waiting for a confirmed build date and delivery date so I can sign up for a 1 day car control or M school class. Hopefully they won't be filled up by the time I get a confirmation.
