okay so here it is... I've been searching quite awhile and havent found a answer so please try and help me its a simple one

so i got a 3.28i and my climate control fuse keeps popping in the engine bay... i checked all the wires coming from under the driver side and theres no rips at all.. on the climate control when the fuse pops, i can still hear the fan on the climate control still on... my question is, can the fuse pop if the climate control is fryed?

i tried searching everywhere but no one has seemed to be in this situation, and i would post some pictures but i need more then 10 posts.

There could be a short in the circuit somewhere mate.
That is all i could tell you.

this is the old school way to find a short. Its a pain in the a** but works. Have a hand full of fuses on hand. start unplugging any thing that has to do with the climate control. One thing at a time. When you stop popping fuses you now know what is bad. If that did not work you know it is a wire somewhere

hm... short in the circuit .. can you explain to me where that is at? at the fuse box or in the dash board i looked beneathed it and no wires were cut or anything... i am thinking about doing the same idea as you getting alot of fuses and yeah... alot of work for me right now i have to drop the downpipe and see why there is white smoke coming from under the car and in the engine bay i just saw oil on the downpipe so yea.. gotta check the oil filter, oh and can oil come out of the header?

About the oil leak, it could be anywhere.
First thing to check is Valve Cover Gasket since Headers are right below it.
When engine gets hot, it start burning the oil present on the headers.
Does it Stink like oil burning?
If not, and if it is pure smoke than there could be an exhaust leak somewhere.
Why do you want to check Oil filter? Oil filter is meant to be changed while changing the oil.
when was the last time you had an oil service?

I hope that your Oil pan gasket is not bad.
If it is, its a messy job.
You are gonna have to drop the whole sub-frame, steering rack and a lot of other things. Special tools required to hold the engine in place while the sub frame is off the car.

I've found the problem about the smoke uinder the car... the dealer didnt tighten the headers all the way in. there for the car has been sitting in the drive way for 6 months and oil started to drip from the headers to the downpipe thanks tho!! =) oh! and my stupid sunroof cover (not the window ) but the thing that covers the sunroof when its closed is caught in the back and when i go put the sunroof back it can only go like 4 inches and gets stuck any solutions here? lols... and about my climate control the lights turn on but the screen is blank so i guess its the soilinoid thats in the climate control i have to search DIY i heard there was something about soildering it back or something...

Short circuit would not indicate cut wires...that would not complete the circuit. A short circuit happens when the circuit detours without going through the place that needs it.

Retrieving the sunroof cover is a bitch. Just barely touch the sunroof button to open it backwards, so that it doesn't actually go backwards but the rear of it drops about 1/8". Now try and pull it forward. Keep trying different distances down till you get it right man.

My guess for the climate control is the harness behind the unit. Probably have wires that rubbed bare and are shorting.

can anyone tell me if thats the same as the climate control?

damn... so if my bottons work but the screen doesnt work that means my climate control is fried right?... and that can maybe be the case wiht my fuse poping also... because i took off all the wires and started the car and the fuse didnt pop but when i plugged it back in it blew lols...

Not necessarily. That could be, but it's not a given. The screen could just be disconnected or missing the backlight. Or, possibly, it could have shorted with other wires in the climate control unit, and is causing the problem. See if you can find someone local to swap units with for a little bit and see if the fuse still pops on yours.

alright thanks man ill try and ask a local person in my neighborhood or something, but i think i have another idea.... if i get a wire diagram for the climate control and check which one is the power wire and tap it into the climate control and see if it works would that be a good idea?

On second thought, maybe you shouldn't ask someone till you look into it closer. You don't want to cause a problem for them.

Question - do the LEDs on the unit work? Not the screen, but the green LEDs showing which mode it's on. If they do, your unit is getting power.

If not, you should check the wiring behind it more extensively.
