I have a couple questions for the experts here. It is rare that I am unable to find a fix given a little research, but in this case, I am stumped.

1. I installed a new stereo, and then my OBC's fuel mileage calculator simply stopped working. Everything else on the OBC works... It even somewhat accurately predicts my Range. But when I try to set it to give me an estimated fuel consumption, it says --.-- or 0.0mpg.. Does this mean in need to re-enter the codes, or a sensor is unhooked?

The consumption meter on the dash still works.

**EDIT**
I found the answer to this one, the OBC itself has a faulty connection, most likely internal, will probably have to find another unit..

2. I am curious if anyone has tackled bypassing the stock amp. I am tempted to splice the wires given this diagram. http://www.bimmerwerkz.com/forum/attachments/audio-electronics/21716d1123726699-purchased-kenwood-kdc-128-dash-cd-amp_diagram.jpg
I installed the new stereo because everything got really quiet, even when turned up all the way. Now with the new stereo, (pre-out or ?regular-out) it wont get very loud, or just sound overboosted (not line level).
